Our Cooking Classes at Real Life Skills Support Services are designed to build confidence, independence, and practical life skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Starting Term 3: Cooking Program Pathway – Certificate II in Hospitality
For participants in our Cooking Classes, this qualification supports the development of practical kitchen skills, teamwork, and confidence in a real-world setting
We run our Cooking Classes on:
Monday: 8:30am-11:30am & 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Tuesday: 8:30am-11:30am & 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Friday: 12:30am-3:30pm
Each term we introduce a new theme and menu, giving participants the opportunity to learn a variety of recipes and cooking techniques throughout the year. Our classes focus on real-life meals that can be recreated at home, helping participants develop everyday skills in the kitchen while enjoying the social aspect of cooking together.
Participants will learn how to:
• Follow recipes step-by-step
• Prepare simple, practical meals
• Build kitchen confidence and independence
• Work safely in a kitchen environment
• Enjoy cooking as a social and enjoyable activity
Our cooking classes are welcoming, hands-on, and designed to support participants at their own pace while encouraging growth and independence.
One of the best parts of our program is the flexibility — participants can join at any time throughout the term, as sessions are charged individually.
At the end of each term, we celebrate the skills learned with a special celebration lunch, where participants share their creations with friends and family.
If you’d like to join our Cooking Classes or learn more, we’d love to hear from you.
