NDIS Supported Independent Living

Disability and Mental Health Support

Supported Living can provide you with an opportunity for greater independence whilst ensuring you still have the support you need to navigate everyday life.

Future planning can be a confronting subject. At Real Life Skills we are all about assisting and supporting you to learn and further develop the skills you need to set yourself up for the future. We are passionate about the need to empower and encourage participants to take control of their lives, to learn essential life skills for everyday life.

We want you to be as independent as possible and be there to support you where and when you need to live the life you want to live.

Supported Independent Living also known as SIL, is a 24/7 support system where we help you with and/ or supervise the development of daily living tasks and other necessary skills to work towards the goal of living as independently as possible.

Our team are not only here to provide assistance within the home but also encourage you to get out in the community and achieve your goals. We can also help you manage your week, whether it be attending regular appointments, supporting you at work or other community-based activities.

Supported Independent Living Process
It’s as simple as 1 – 2 – 3.

Step 1 – After you make contact with us, we will meet with you and get to know you as best we can. We will ask you what you like, your dislikes and your wants and needs. You will be able to ask any questions you have and also have an opportunity to get to know us too.

Step 2 – From the information you provided we may show you some accommodation that is available or we will start searching for the right place.

Step 3 – Meet your team! We will introduce you to the team of mentors handpicked just for you. We will then complete the final forms and you will be set to move in to your new home!

If you’re looking for someone to help you get there, come and have a chat with us.
We’re ready to help you kick your goals.

INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE

All of our programs and workshops can be delivered to participants on an individual level. This means one on one training and skills development that is further personalised to the needs of the participant.

With the goals of the participant front of mind, we can develop a tailored program that is inclusive of skills development and assistance or supervision of day to day activities.

Simply let us know of your request during your enquiry or booking.
